Product Overview
Flat plate collectors use a copper absorber sheet under toughened glass rather than glass tubes. They handle pressure well, cope better with hard water, and there is no glass tube to replace if something strikes the roof.
That makes them the right answer for a guest house, a canteen, a salon or a large home with pressurised plumbing feeding multiple outlets.
They are heavier and cost more than an equivalent evacuated tube system, and they lose slightly more heat on cold mornings. Where the water is hard or the demand is constant, that trade is usually worth making.
